One Cool Earth Corner Every child deserves a place to grow--their health, academic success, and personal well-being! That’s why One Cool Earth’s Earth Genius program creates amazing school gardens at public schools throughout our county. Are you a grandparent, parent or community volunteer who can spare an hour or two each week to help at your school garden? That’s right, it’s YOUR garden too! We will be here all year, and we can’t do this alone. Lend your support throughout the year to help provide standards-based science lessons, garden clubs, food tastings, Family Cooking Nights, and more to grow healthy, happy, smart students. To volunteer or for more information, visit onecoolearth.org. Register to volunteer by clicking the ‘Volunteer’ tab. Gardens change lives!

SWEATS (ONLY) NEEDED FOR THE OFFICE
If you are cleaning out outgrown clothing we could use your hand me downs.   Our students frequently need a change of clothing when something goes wrong.  We have plenty for the kinder kids but we need larger sizes.  We prefer sweats so that we don't need to keep many sizes and don't have an issue with fashion!

We Tip 1 800-78-CRIME
To ensure a safe and orderly campus throughout the school year, we need your cooperation in supporting our school and celebrating the great things we are doing at Santa Margarita Elementary. In the past few months we have had an increase in the amount of vandalism and graffiti on our campus. The defacing and destroying of property can be costly to our school and district and may cause people to think our school is not well-cared for. Because our community and families do care about our school and what happens here, we are asking that you if you see or know of any vandalism occurring on our campus, that you please call the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office at 781-4550 or We-Tip at 1800-78-CRIME. We appreciate your help and support in keeping our campus safe.
